Crete, Isaac: Isaac Crete first appears on the Prairie with his marriage to Isabel Gobin at St. Louis on August 20, 1866, followed by the birth of a daughter in 1867. Nothing further is heard of this union, and in 1874 Crete married Rosa Raymond.

Page 193 M-2 The 20 August, 1866, in view of the publication of two banns of marriage made a the sermon of our parish mass two consecutive Sundays between Isaie (sic) Crete of the parish of St. Luis of-age son and legitimate of Olivier Crete and Marguerite Toupin domiciled at St. Ann, Canada on the one part; and Isabelle Gobin of the same parish, minor daughter and legitimate of J Baptiste Gobin by the consent of whom it proceeds and of the late Marguerite Veniet (sic) on the other part; the dispensation of the third having been granted by us and no impediment having presented itself furthermore, we undersigned parish priest of S. Louis have received thier mutual consent to marriage and have given them the nuptial benediction in the presence of j Baptiste Gobin father of the bride and Francois Menes. Fr.
