Okay this is a shot in the DARK.  Looking at marriage record index, I came

up with a Emily Jean Staats(Doesn't show who she married).  Looking at the

Marriage date, I came up with 15 possible males married in the same county

same day.  Looking in the 1920 census I came up with only one that was

married to a someone close to the name Emilie Jane.  (Most I could not find

at all).  Then I looked up the 1930 census and the death Records.  I think

this may be Emelie Jane Staats.  Part of the reasoning is he works for the

city, and the Staats marriage into the Dufur family gave them the political

influence for that types of jobs.  Another reason I think James W Staats is

correct, because of working for the Streetcar company again a city type job.

Only the Death Certificate or Marriage license would give us enough

information.  They can't seem to remember where their parents are born

either.  Just throwing this in to see what you think.  I still think I need

to go to the archives and see if I can verify these.  Anyway if it is true,

Emilie Jane Staats had No Issue. (married at 40 and no children listed by

age 50)

I do have her with William in 1930, so the Soverns one isn't her, plus she

dies as a Emma Staats.
